Kate Watson (Geyle)
BSpPath (Hons), CPSP
Kate graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and first class Honours in 2011. She has since been practicing as a Speech Pathologist across the continuum of healthcare ranging from critical through to palliative care and voice clinic settings. In addition to her position at Voice Medicine Australia, Kate has worked closely with a variety of specialists including Neurologists and Neurosurgeons to treat patients who have neurogenic voice, swallowing, speech and language impairments. This has led to the development of a strong scientific and medical grounding in her approach to patient evaluation and management. Kate has a particular interest in the field of laryngology and, along with her focus on the upper airway, provides a videofluoroscopic (x-ray) evaluation service to investigate and diagnose swallowing disorders. Her passion for voice developed from a long history in the performing arts and Kate takes great pleasure in working closely with her clients to achieve their vocal, speech and respiratory goals. Outside of her speech pathology career, Kate is also a talented florist running a successful business making beautiful flower arrangements for special events!
